A dedicated Hospice/Palliative Medicine Physician is sought in Escanaba, Michigan, to join a collaborative team providing holistic care for patients with advanced illnesses.
About the Role:
- Offer inpatient consultations to ensure patients receive comprehensive care.
- Manage symptoms and develop customized interventions to meet individual patient needs.
- Facilitate goals of care conversations with patients and their families, navigating complex decision-making processes with empathy and clarity.
- Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows to promote excellence in hospice and palliative care.
- Advocate for high-quality and cost-effective care, aiming to optimize resource utilization while striving for the best patient outcomes.
Practice Details:
- Join a multidisciplinary team of three physicians, eleven advanced practice nurses, and three social workers.
- Participate in weekend call coverage approximately once every two months.
