Palliative Medicine Physician needed in Carrollton, GA (Permanent)
Position Highlights:
Location: Carrollton, Georgia (40 miles from Atlanta, GA)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday Friday (5 days/40 hours per week)
Requirements: Board Eligible/Board Certified in Palliative Medicine
Must live locally
About the Position:
Join an established collaborative and collegial inpatient palliative care team comprised of one physician, a dedicated full-time LPN, and a full-time licensed social worker
Help develop an outpatient program to enhance and grow Palliative Care services
Oversee the design & implementation of an outpatient palliative care clinic, including a Home Based Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner program
Experience practicing Palliative Medicine in an acute care hospital setting with program management experience preferred
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide inpatient and limited outpatient palliative care services in west Georgia
Function as a program builder by developing an outpatient palliative care clinic
Education Requirements:
Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Care through the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine
Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or General Surgery
Completion of an accredited Palliative Medicine Fellowship
Current GA Medical License or must meet eligibility requirements
