* Faculty Appointment
* The Trauma Surgeon reports directly to the Chief of Trauma, and the Chair of the Department of Surgery.
* Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center

**Qualifications**
* M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy
* Board certified/eligible by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and surgical critical care

* Requirements include demonstrated skills in emergency surgery, surgical critical care, trauma patient care, and a record of teaching and research experience (health services, translational or basic science research).
