Description
The general function of the department:
Evaluate and treat individual children from birth to three years of age and support families following guidelines set by NJEIS system.
The primary purpose of this position:
Expedite billing and assist with daily office workflow to assure timely delivery of service.
Specific duties and responsibilities:
- Collects all components of Billing: Eligibility Pages, Team Pages, & Verification logs from the Evaluation Coordinator for billing processing.
- Assures timelines of five days for each billing component to the NJREIC.
- Provides the Authorization/Verification Log to Therapists for completion.
- Prints Covansys Billing Reports; Pulls & bills appropriate Authorizations.
- Meet with Evaluation Coordinator weekly to inform of the status of billing.
- Confirm that all required documentation is submitted to proper parties to ensure timely payments.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum experience required:
- high school diploma or GED required
- 1 - 3 years
Other knowledge, skills, and certifications required:
Customer service skills, basic math skills, computer skills (Excel, Word), collections experience preferred.
