Description
- Work towards advancing the mission and values of Archway Programs.
- Ensure that all necessary program resources are used to meet the needs of the individuals.
- Promote and demonstrate ethical and professional conduct at all times.
- Participate in quality improvement projects.
- Assist with the implementation of high quality individual support plans.
- Promote and participate in Archway Programs Risk Management and Performance Improvement goals addressing the health and safety of customers and employees.
- Assist Day Program participants with vocational skill development. This may include coaching or providing support at a volunteer site, developing creative volunteerism opportunities, and soft skill building.
- Safely operate agency vans and other vehicles to provide transport for program participants between the Archway Programs Day Program and their home, as well as for activities such as trips and shopping.
- Collaborate with the residential program (Group Homes) as directed to ensure consistent care to the individuals served.
- Assist in the development and planning of Day Program activities.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with day program participants, as well as families, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Works with each individuals treatment team and all other interested parties to build self-esteem and social capital for each individual served.
- Promote inclusion for individuals through meaningful and high quality community activities.
- Support individuals as needed in developing friendships and establishing desired relationships with peers.
- Participate in the development of Individual Support Plans(ISP) and Planning Team meetings as needed.
- Serve as shift supervisor as assigned by supervisor.
- Administer medication to individuals who need support taking medication, as directed by Supervisor.
- Attend staff meetings and all required training programs as assigned by the supervisor.
- Cooperates fully with Archway Programs, the Division of Developmental Disabilities, Department of Human Services and Department of Children and Families staff in any and all licensing, inspections and/ or investigations
- Complete all required paperwork accurately including, but not limited to, Progress Notes, ISP data, Daily Activity Logs, etc.
- Comply with Archway Programs policies and DDD/DHS licensing standards.
- Perform other such duties as may be assigned for providing excellent customer service and for the most effective operation of the company.
Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D., a drivers license valid in their current state of residence and one (1) year of experience in a responsible, paid position. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or the elderly preferred.
