The physician in this role will be responsible for leading PCPs in his / her neighborhood of clinics, which may include some clinical practice alongside their physician colleagues in order to remain close to our patients.They will also have mission-critical leadership responsibilities, which include setting an example for how high-quality primary care is practiced, serving as a leader, mentor, and coach to providers in ArchWell Health centers. They will also provide input on critical organizational-wide strategic initiatives.Candidate ResponsibilitiesThe Market Medical Director will have substantial administrative time for the following leadership and administrative duties : Provider Management : Our Market Medical Directors are in the centers providing leadership, support, and structure to our physicians and care teams. This includes ensuring that our centers are properly staffed and call schedules are covered, as well as recruiting, developing, coaching physicians and promoting them to take local leadership roles. The Market Medical Director will support performance reviews for physicians and play a key role in supporting new physician orientation and ongoing training.Leadership and Coaching : The success of ArchWell Health is based on the quality of care that our patients receive. Our Market Medical Directors know that many physicians have not been taught how to do this, and they share their wisdom to educate physicians on how to successfully manage patients in a value-based care environment.Care Delivery and Center Operations : The Market Medical Director will lead market-level clinical meetings, which includes weekly physician meetings and reviews of currently / recently hospitalized patients and those at risk for clinical deterioration. The Market Medical Director will support the care teams and teach best practices related to daily huddles, telehealth, walk-in visits, hospital follow-up, patient experience, and other activities that are critical to ensuring our patients have access to high-quality care.Support Organizational Strategy : We expect our Market Medical Directors to play a key role in supporting our goal of continuous improvement. They will collaborate with the corporate team and leadership in other markets to share best practices and improvement opportunities.Drive Culture : At ArchWell Health, we believe deeply in our mission to transform primary care and deliver high-quality care to seniors. We look to our Market Medical Directors to embody this mission and set an example for the organization.Ideal candidates will be : M.D. or D.O. graduatesBoard certified / eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (required)Have at least one (1) year experience in progressively responsible administrative or management-related position in a primary care environmentHave experience supervising providers and clinical staff with a demonstrated record of successPrevious experience working within a managed care or value-based environmentBe highly collaborative and enjoy leading teams with a patient-centric orientationDriven to care for those with comorbid conditions, the elderly and / or medically underservedPassionate about their work and energized by being part of a fast-growing organizationArchWell Health is an equal opportunity employer.
