Job Summary:
ArchWell Health is seeking a Market Development Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of market development and expansion. This internship provides a unique opportunity to develop expertise across key business areas, including site selection and lease management, permit submission and tracking, design and construction oversight, and center launch operations.
Working closely with the Market Development team and cross-functional leaders, the intern will contribute to the successful planning and execution of new center openings. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive, and motivated individual looking to build foundational knowledge in real estate, construction, and business development within the healthcare industry.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lease Management: Assist in tracking lease agreements, maintaining lease documentation, monitoring key dates and obligations, and coordinating with landlords.
- Permit Submission & Tracking: Help compile and submit permit applications, monitor approval timelines, and maintain accurate tracking records.
- Design & Construction Support: Collaborate with the team to review architectural plans, track project milestones, and assist with vendor coordination.
- Center Launch Activities: Participate in planning and logistics for new center openings, ensuring key tasks are completed on schedule.
- Data Management & Reporting: Maintain and update project databases, track progress metrics, and generate reports for leadership.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to align market development efforts with overall business goals.
- Process Improvement & Documentation: Assist in refining workflows, documenting best practices, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Administrative & Project Support: Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and managing project-related communications.
- Prepare and maintain security-related reports and documentation.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong Organizational Skills – Ability to manage multiple tasks, track project timelines, and maintain detailed records with accuracy.
- Attention to Detail – Capable of reviewing documents, permits, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with requirements.
- Effective Communication – Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving & Adaptability – Ability to navigate challenges, troubleshoot issues, and proactively contribute to solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Project Management Tools – Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and project tracking software to support reporting and workflow management.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Business, Real Estate, Construction Management, Finance, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Ability to commit to the full duration of the internship program, as arranged with direct leader.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to learning.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
- Basic understanding of real estate, leasing, construction, or permitting is a plus but not required.
- Prior internship or relevant coursework experience preferred.
