Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Memory Program Coordinator to lead and oversee the memory care program at Archwood. This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring exceptional care for residents living with memory loss, managing memory care staff, and coordinating the daily operations and programming within the memory care unit. The Memory Program Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director and Director of Nursing to uphold our community’s commitment to excellence in memory care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain an engaging memory care program tailored to residents' needs, focusing on enhancing their quality of life and well-being.
- Supervise, train, and support memory care staff to ensure compassionate, professional, and high-quality care is provided.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and continuity of care.
- Coordinate emergency replacements for staff (on call)
- Oversee and monitor compliance with care plans, policies, and state/federal regulations specific to memory care.
- Conduct regular assessments of residents and adjust programming and care strategies as needed in collaboration with the nursing team.
- Act as a liaison between residents, families, and staff, fostering strong communication and relationships.
- Provide ongoing education and training for staff on dementia care best practices and specialized techniques.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Director of Nursing to maintain a seamless and coordinated approach to care and operations.
- Organize and lead family meetings or support groups to educate and support families of residents.
Qualifications:
- Experience in memory care, dementia programming, or a related healthcare role.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience, preferably in a memory care or assisted living setting.
- Strong understanding of dementia care best practices and person-centered care philosophies.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and maintain a positive and supportive environment for residents, families, and staff.
- Certification as a dementia care professional (preferred but not required).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, social work, gerontology, or a related field (preferred).

Pay: $42,606.00 - $52,762.00 per year
