Scope:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Back of House Team Member to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be flexible and ready to contribute in various areas of the kitchen, including line cooking, prep work, and dishwashing. This role is essential to ensuring smooth operations, food quality, and cleanliness standards are met.
Primary Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Line Cooking:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure food is cooked to the proper temperature and is plated attractively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cooking station throughout the shift.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while keeping up with orders.
Prep Work:
- Assist in preparing ingredients for daily menu items, including chopping, marinating, and portioning.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines when handling food items.
- Maintain a clean and organized prep area and ensure all food is properly stored.
Dishwashing:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the dishwashing area.
- Ensure that all dishware and kitchen equipment are clean and available for use.
General:
- Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with the cleaning of the kitchen, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and taking out the trash.
- Be flexible and assist other team members as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and cleanliness.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
Will often be required to work nights, weekends and holidays.
