Job Title: Course Host / Starter

SUMMARY
Engage and interact with golfers on course. Maintain pace of play and respond to golfer’s questions and concerns as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate golf course conditions with golf shop and outside service. Maintain an inventory of scorecards, pencils, tees, divot repair tools, and ball markers. Ensure the practice tee and green are clean and orderly by actively picking up baskets and/or golf balls from respective areas. Monitor pace of play and enforce club policies, rules, course etiquette, and daily course rules. Ensure “Marshal Cart” is equipped with ice towels (when necessary) and fully stocked with operational First Aid Equipment including AED machine. Maintains cleanliness and neatness of fitness equipment and facility. Ensures a pleasant visit for each guest; maintains effective guest relations. Performs special projects delegated by management. Stays updated on latest developments pertinent to the department as well as the location.
QUALIFYING KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Must have previous knowledge and experience working in golf or playing the sport. Previous experience as a course host or player assistant preferred or any experience with customer relations and satisfaction.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, move, jump, stand and use hands. The associate frequently is required to reach with hands and occasionally required to sit, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

COMPENSATION
Seasonal part time hourly - $16-$20/hour
*Part time season ranges from April-October
*Working 4-6 hour shifts, up to 20 hours a week
