WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Indirect Category Manager role will be a Hybrid** role with offices located at our headquarters in Alpharetta, GA. Reporting into the Sr. Manager of Indirect Procurement, the ideal candidate will be developing and implementing corporate sourcing strategies for capital projects and indirect spend categories, including Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO), specialty equipment and services, and general supplies across multiple manufacturing sites in North America and beyond.
Our Indirect Procurement team empowers the entire company by helping source and manage goods and services that support business operations but are not part of the final product—such as equipment, facilities, IT, and professional services. The team ensures cost-effective, reliable, and strategic sourcing to drive value, manage risk, and enable company performance.
This role serves as a critical strategist and change agent who identifies and prioritizes Arclin’s most impactful sourcing opportunities using data-driven insights. They bring thought leadership to envision strategic options, engage stakeholders to align on the best path forward, and lead implementation from concept through execution—delivering measurable value across the organization.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for capital and indirect spend (including MRO, services, supplies
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, demand, specifications, and cost drivers to shape sourcing decisions.
- Assess requirements across Arclin’s sites and businesses to unlock value through consolidated and harmonized purchasing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in plant operations, finance, engineering, and elsewhere to define sourcing needs and category strategies.
- Align procurement with compliance, sustainability, and corporate objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement through reporting and process optimization.
- Support competitive sourcing events (RFx).
- Facilitate supplier selection, contract negotiation, and risk mitigation.
- Help capital project teams in meeting procurement milestones and budgets.
- Help facilitate supplier performance measurement to ensure delivery, quality, and cost targets are met.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU WILL NEED
- Procurement or sourcing, with preference given to capital and indirect category experience.
- Strong data analysis skills and ability to translate insights into sourcing strategy.
- Demonstrated success in multi-site strategy execution and supplier management.
- Capital project procurement in a manufacturing setting is a plus
- Proficiency with ERP/procurement systems and reporting tools. Preference given to experience with JD Edwards.
- Skilled in stakeholder collaboration, negotiation, and risk management.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on measurable outcomes.
- Travel as needed to sites and supplier locations.
- Data analytics certification (e.g., Udemy, Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate).
- Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma in sourcing environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
