Mechanic 1st Class, Cedartown, GA
Arclin is currently looking for a Mechanic 1st Class for our Cedartown, GA location. Reporting into the Plant Engineering Manager this role is responsible for maintenance of plant equipment in a safe sound manner.
Mechanic 1st Class Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining equipment in accordance with PSM (Process Safety Management) standards.
- Accountable for driving continuous improvements in maintenance processes.
- Responsible for conducting preventive inspections on equipment.
- Ensure adherence to the department's safety program.
- Ensure that jobs are completed in an environmentally sound manner.
- Maintain plant equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee the completion of QIP (Quality Improvement Plan) objectives.
Mechanic 1st Class Qualifications:
- Advanced completion of the maintenance training program or equivalent experience and skills.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, work orders, and basic instructions for daily tasks.
- Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) for calculating materials, sizing requirements, and pipe fitting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, including handling multiple variables in complex situations.
- Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry materials as needed.
- Capability to climb stairs and ladders.
- Ability to kneel, bend, and stand for prolonged periods.
- Physical dexterity to effectively use simple tools.
