Swiss CNC Machinist

Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of CNC Swiss machining. Citizen
  • Program Edit, set up and operate a multi-axis Swiss and/or mill-turn CNC Turning Center using G-Code Programming
  • Follow and preform first article and in-process inspection.
  • Advanced level in blueprint reading and GD&T.
  • Ability to understand tool ware and input machining offsets.
  • Ability to perform basic machine maintenance.
  • Ability to manufacture parts and monitor in-process dimension standards to specifications.
  • Ability to use inspection tools, including but not limited to calipers, height gauges, comparators, micrometers, rulers, and gauge pins.
  • Ability to clearly document the necessary quality inspection features.
  • Interest to be cross trained on different machine types as required (mill, lathe, grinder, manual equipment, etc.,
  • Understand basic Quality and/or Manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to follow Work Instructions
  • Support Lean Manufacturing Initiatives to enhance Continuous Improvement
  • Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees, and customers.
  • Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Capabilities in Swiss programming CAM is a plus.
  • Position requires 3–5-years’ experience setup and operation of Swiss CNC and/or dual spindle lathes with live tooling.
  • Must be able to read understand and follow work instructions in English.
  • Experience with power tools and/or industrial machinery
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 20 lbs.
