Director of Electrical Engineering

ARCO/Murray is currently seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to join our internal design team. This leadership role will be responsible for supporting client pursuits, identifying project requirements, and advancing the team's efforts with the development of complex electrical system designs in support of a wide range of design/build projects.

• Lead the electrical engineering design group; Grow and develop a team of engineers and designers by providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship
• Prepare and/or review detailed preliminary electrical designs in pursuit of design/build projects across several project-types
• Provide electrical design direction for projects and collaborate with other trade disciplines to deliver construction drawings
• Provide alternate design options to maximize cost savings and better execute projects
• Interface with clients, contractors, and vendors on technical issues as an electrical expert
• Advise in the development of electrical pre-fabrication efforts

• BS in Electrical Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline
• 7 years of electrical engineering and design experience in support of construction projects
• Familiarity with electrical engineering software such as Revit, ETAP, SKM, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and client relationships while maintaining a high-level of customer service and responsiveness
• Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred; ARCO/Murray will support the pursuit of licensure
• Prior leadership or Project management experience preferred
• Prior experience design/build experience preferred
• Previous business budgeting and/or business planning experience preferred
