Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle cash and operate a POS system effectively. The Cashier will also assist with product demonstrations and ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
- Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately using POS systems.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain knowledge of products, promotions, and store policies to assist customers effectively.
- Conduct product demos to enhance customer engagement and sales.
- Ensure the checkout area and store is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with team members to meet store goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Prepare hot food items
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus.
- Experience operating cash registers or POS systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
