Arconic is currently in search of Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Engineering Manager to join our Aluminum Extrusion (AEX) business unit in Lafayette, IN. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

In this role you will:
- Project Management: Planning, coordinating, and supervising engineers and projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Problem Solving : Identifying and resolving technical issues that arise during projects or maintenance activities.

- Risk Management : Identify and mitigate risks associated with capital projects.
- Capital Expenditure: Work with Plant Manager and department heads to establish capital expenditure needs, present to corporate for approval, manage the cap-ex projects to ensure on-time delivery and within budget.
- Managing Engineers : Leading and managing a team providing coaching, feedback and training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Managing Budgets and forecast : Prepare and manage budgets for capital projects, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Ensuring Compliance : Ensure all projects comply with regulatory requirements and company policies, and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders
- Maintaining Inventory : Ordering and managing an inventory of maintenance and project supplies and equipment
- Build and Maintain Effective and Productive Relationships with Union Leadership and Employees
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Finance or another technical related field
- A minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Qualified candidate must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the relevant government agency. Business demands may require employer to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in engineering or business administration
- 10-15 years of maintenance experience with a strong technical background
- Supervisory/management experience in a unionized environment
- Experience Leading or Supervising in Mechanical Industrial Maintenance
- Experience and knowledge of Oracle EAM work order system
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software packages such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership attributes
