The primary function of the Drafter is to create, review, and update detail drawings primarily using AutoCAD & Inventor. The drafter will be a key member of New Product Development team.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Create 2D AutoCAD and 3D Inventor engineering documentation including extrusion die drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, part drawings, master drawings, bill of materials, test unit drawings, and installation instructions.
- Ensure the drawings adhere to the industry and company drafting standards.
- Create isometric or 3D drawings for technical documents or presentations.
- Generate and conduct peer reviews of Engineering Changes.
- Work with different teams/team members to gather necessary content for documentation.
- Use engineering documentation in an Autodesk Vault environment.
- Experience with MS Office suite
- Must be able to multi-task and handle several projects
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to details is critical
- Good time management skills needed to accomplish the tasks on time
You have:
- Associate Degree from an accredited institution or prior experience in a drafter position for at least 2 years
- Minimum 2 years experience with 2D drafting in Autocad and 3D modeling in Inventor
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Minimum 3 years experience in 2D drafting with Autocad and 3D modeling with Inventor
- Proficient in Autodesk’s AutoCAD, Inventor, and Vault platforms
- Working knowledge of General Dimensioning and Tolerance (GDT) rules.
- FGIA Fenestration Master or Associates
- Experience with iLogic or Macros
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
