In this role, you will:
- Leads continuous improvement of Kawneer Springdale customer service by delivering best in class lead times, OTIF, depth of delay and inventory levels.
- Drive continuous improvements, using lean principles, to improve key levers like lead times, OTIF, inventory levels, capacity, cost and productivity.
- Responsible for capacity planning activities associated with the Sales and Operations Plan, Master Schedule and Materials Requirement Plan
- Responsible for the creation of a valid Master Schedule that is connected with Manufacturing capacity constraints.
- Coordinate and communicate cross functionally with Sales, Account Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to incorporate customer and business requirements into Production Planning.
- Lead regular activities and meetings to plan and review metal supply, Hardware supply, Inventory levels and plant capacity.
- Direct the activity of the Production Control department, to ensure operational excellence in order promising/commitments, master scheduling, material delivery, and input/output control, to achieve exceptional performance to customer Commitments.
- Identify, negotiate, and resolve conflicts with respect to material and capacity availability and order-promising integrity.
- Schedule Adherence – Order of execution, plan products to be made in a seamless manner efficiently.
- Measure and communicate Operations Plan Schedule Attainment and Master Schedule Attainment, and initiate root cause problem solving to analyze variability and improve performance.
- Design, measure, and communicate metrics that track the effectiveness of production planning and manufacturing execution.
- Design, track, and control inventory levels that enable Springdale to achieve business plan targets for customer service while maintaining cash flow from operations.
- Coach and develop all members of the Production Control team through training, mentoring, and the development of consistent planning tools. Provide verbal and written performance feedback on a regular basis. Develop metrics that measure individual planning effectiveness and performance.

You have: (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain, Logistics from an accredited Institution
- 5 years of experience in Manufacturing , Supply Chain, Logistics
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of Hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications
- Scheduling and materials management knowledge (MRP);
- Forecasting, Kanban and Inventory planning experience;
- JD Edwards expertise;
- Practical knowledge of the theory of constraints.
- Good understanding and application of lean management tools;
- Analytical and problem solving skills;
- Effective communications with suppliers, other business locations and within the plant;
- Team leader and change agent
