Arcosa, Inc. is seeking a Corporate Safety Manager to join our Environmental Health and Safety Team based out of our Dallas, TX headquarters office.  

Arcosa, Inc. (NYSE: ACA) is a growth-oriented manufacturer and producer of infrastructure-related products and services. The company has businesses with leading positions in construction, energy, and transportation markets with annual revenues in excess of $2B.

This is a unique opportunity that includes a high level of exposure to senior leaders within a well-funded company with plans to grow aggressively in the future. This role will have a wide scope of purview across Business Units while also staying closely connected to plant level operations.

What you will do:

The Corporate Safety Manager will assist the Corporate Safety Department by:

• Acting as a subject matter resource on all areas relating to OSHA, MSHA, and DOT to make sure Corporate Policies are compliant and answer any facility questions or issues

• Preparing and maintains reports related to facility’s safety and environmental conditions in compliance with Arcosa Corporate and regulatory requirements

• Acting as a resource to Division and Plant Safety Managers on proper safety practices and techniques.

• Compiling statistics and conducting safety training.

• Auditing plants and working with managers and supervisors to implement actions for risk reduction beyond compliance.  

• Identifying exposures within the enterprise; strategically prioritize corrective measures based on sound statistical analysis.

• Acting as a shared Corporate resource to identify incident reduction initiatives, emergency response assistance, policy development and implementation, new acquisition integration, temporary leadership advisor as needed, etc.

• Conducting position duties in an organized and orderly manner, setting priorities, and meeting commitments and deadlines.

• Professionally and effectively communicating with all audiences including employees, regulatory, and third parties.

• Operating in a consultative role with facilities to help them achieve a performance consistent with the Company’s Safety Culture.


What You’ll Need:

• Undergraduate degree in occupational safety and health or similar field of study, or equivalent experience.

• 7-8 years related experience in addition to undergraduate degree or 5-8 years of related experience without undergraduate degree.

• Associate Safety Profession (ASP) designation, Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is highly desired.

• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations relative to safety, health, and environmental issues.

• Good knowledge of manufacturing, mining or other division-level operations, or the ability to acquire it quickly.

• Ability to help drive a positive and proactive safety culture throughout the organization.

• Ability to develop effective working relationships with plant and corporate personnel in order to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

• Effective communication skills in both small and large groups via written and verbal communication.

• Ability to obtain and analyze data and communicate information effectively.

• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time both domestically and internationally, sometimes unexpectedly, as required.

• Accuracy in MS Office applications (SharePoint experience desired).

• Bilingual (Spanish) desirable.
