What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Planner position at Arcosa Brand?
Arcosa Wind Towers team is looking for a detail-oriented, data-driven, and self-motivated Production Planner to manage the scheduling and implementation of production volume. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.
Location: Dallas, TX
What you’ll do:
- Work directly with department leaders at different sites to clearly define daily production expectations/quotas.
- Follow procedures to ensure the Production ordering and tracking systems align with customer contracts.
- Own interdepartmental bill of material responsibilities to support potential customers and execute confirmed customer orders.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure the production schedule and contents of the bill of materials are accurate and current.
- Execute production and change orders cross-functionally with all departments, including Contracts, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, and Quality.
- Assist in Request for Quotation product cost estimation projects that lead to potential orders.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need:
- Associate degree or equivalent education
- 4 years of experience in manufacturing with a focus on complex product structures and production volume scheduling.
- APICS, CPIM, PMP, or CSCP Certified is a plus.
- Experience in AS400 and ERP systems.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task while being a dynamic team player, self-starter, and results-oriented employee.
- Demonstrated success with planning, capacity, and material requirements for multiple product lines at different life stages.
- Must be able to respond to inquiries and complaints with tact and diplomacy in a timely manner.
- Must be able to work independently and with a team.
- Must have excellent communication skills across multiple mediums.
- Experience and proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and SharePoint.
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed to other Arcosa plants for related projects.
