Arcosa Specialty Materials is searching for a Quality Assurance Manager for our Norman, OK office.
Arcosa Specialty Materials is a leading U.S. producer and distributor of industrial plaster, Gypsum flooring and lightweight and natural aggregates, including rotary kiln-produced lightweight expanded shale and clay, crushed natural stone, sand and gravel, asphalt rock, and other construction materials.

What You Will Do:
- Manages quality control programs by formulating, documenting, and maintaining quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
- Creates, documents, and implements inspection and testing criteria and procedures for product throughout production cycle at different plants as required.
- Coordinate objectives for Quality Assurance with production procedures in cooperation with other managers at the plant to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
- Ensures a high level of internal and external customer service through outside sales. Investigates (and corrects) customer issues and complaints relating to quality .
- Work in close coordination with Corporate Technical Services staff to optimize product quality, adjust recipes as needed, and to trial and develop new products.
- Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
- Coordinates with Design/Process Engineer to perform root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements.
- Updates knowledge and skills to handle new complexities, challenges, and responsibilities (for example, seeking out training, learning from experience, researching best practices, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations).
- Performs other directly related appropriate duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives.
- Works in close coordination with Plant Manager and Production Manager to determine the Quality testing for the production planning to meet customer demand.
- Raw material specification and ordering and packaging for the plant.
- Communicates with the plant manager consistently regarding product quality and production schedule conflicts to help ensure customer needs are met.
- Communication procedures and train technicians in Quality Assurance tests.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering recommended.
- Ability to work with limited supervision. No instructions are needed on routine work, and general instructions are given on new lines of work or special assignments.
- Computer skills with working knowledge of Excel
