Arcosa Marine is searching for a Safety Oriented Production Lead for 2nd shift in our Ashland City, TN barge manufacturing plant. As a Production Lead at Arcosa Marine, you will lead the production shop team by assigning tasks.
Arcosa Marine Products, Inc., is part of Arcosa’s Inland Barge Group, and is a leading manufacturer of barges used to transport cargo on U.S. inland waterways. Arcosa Marine Products manufactures dry cargo barges, including flat-deck and hopper barges, that are used to transport a variety of products including grain, coal, and aggregates. Arcosa Marine Products also manufactures tank barges that carry petroleum, fertilizer, ethanol, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes. It is the largest U.S. manufacturer of fiberglass hopper barge covers used primarily on grain barges. Additionally, Arcosa Marine Products provides a full line of deck hardware to the marine industry, including hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities.

What You Will Do
- Lead a team of production employees by assigning tasks.
- Assist in the completion of all tasks to meet deadlines.
- Train production shop employees.
- Inspect and implement the quality program within the production shop.
- Perform with a high level of accuracy.
- Follow all safety rules and practices.
- Involvement in safety committees.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Read, Interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately machine parts.
- Experience scheduling work in a production environment.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- May require working above ground (15 feet or more).
- Must be able to climb ladders or stairs to reach objects; comfortable with heights.
- May require working in narrow or confined work spaces for extended periods of time.
- May require extensive kneeling, bending, walking, and/or standing for long periods of time.
- 3 years experience preferred in a Leadership role.
