What You’ll Do
- Locate and distribute tools as requested.
- Clean tools and equipment on return.
- Perform local delivery.
- Learn parts inventory system.
- Maintain spreadsheet of daily inventory usage.
- Alert purchasing once inventory reaches minimum level.
- Distribute tools, parts and consumables.
- Order consumables, tools and parts and maintain a log of distribution.
- Follow rules and practices of work safety.
- May be involved in safety committee.
- Perform other duties as assigned,
- May be required to operate forklift and local delivery vehicle.
- Experience: 1 Year
- Certifications: None
- Technical Skills: The ability to operate computer system at appropriate level
- Read, write and speak proficiently in English
- Organized
- Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
- This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
- Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
- Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to- Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc… as required
- Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
- Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
