Arcosa Marine Products, Inc., is searching for an Equipment Tech that will be based in our Caruthersville, MO plant. This position requires strong technical lean manufacturing and hands-on leadership skills, along with a passion for operations excellence to be successful.
Arcosa’s Inland Barge Group is comprised of Arcosa Marine Products, Inc., a leading manufacturer of barges used to transport cargo on U.S. inland waterways. Arcosa Marine Products manufactures dry cargo barges, including flat-deck and hopper barges, that are used to transport a variety of products including grain, coal, and aggregates. Arcosa Marine Products also manufactures tank barges that carry petroleum, fertilizer, ethanol, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes. It is the largest U.S. manufacturer of fiberglass hopper barge covers used primarily on grain barges. Additionally, Arcosa Marine Products provides a full line of deck hardware to the marine industry, including hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities.
What's you'll Do:
- Performs Preventative maintenance and electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs to production and mechanical equipment, machinery and components.
- Determines causes of operating problems, consults schematics and orders replacement parts.
- Performs high voltage electrical repairs (e.g. controls, relays).
- Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications using electrical and electronic test equipment.
- Lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies production electronic components, parts, switch panels etc.
- May test new equipment and troubleshoots operation and makes minor adjustments to equipment.
- Maintains and completes all records.
- Follows all safety rules and practices.
- May be involved in safety committees and initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
