Successful candidate strive to run the laboratory safely and efficiently. They take responsibility for all aspects of the labs where they work, including equipment, supplies, software, and documentation and are responsible for purchasing lab supplies or preparing ordering lists. They often handle security documents and must ensure that all information and data collected in the lab is kept safe. Phlebotomist preferred.

Job Description: Seeking individual with experience managing a lab, medical practice, clinic, or clinical department. BEING A PHLEBOTOMIST - A PLUS!!
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provides laboratory diagnostic and therapeutic information, products, and services by establishing specimen preparation procedures; evaluating laboratory information; consulting with MRO and outsourced labs; reporting results per protocols. Answering calls from private pay customers as well as new and established customers.
- Maintains knowledge base of products and services and handles prospective sales calls appropriately.
- Maintains laboratory equipment performance by establishing quality standards; developing operations, quality, and troubleshooting procedures; ensuring staff compliance; certifying instrument performance; arranging equipment replacement, service, and repair.
- Maintains laboratory supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
- Maintains quality results by adjusting (with approval) in policy and procedures; generating reports; maintaining records.
- Maintains laboratory information system by identifying information needs and problems; recommending improvements; establishing priorities; testing; writing user manuals; training employees; maintaining security and confidentiality.
- Maintains and grows professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications and other relevant material
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Performs all testing collection processes for drug, alcohol, DNA tests, physical exams and clinical testing (urine, saliva, hair, phlebotomy, vital signs).
- Maintains national registry licensure for phlebotomy.
- Perform observed and unobserved urine collections.
- Responsible for keeping Drug testing area (including restrooms) clean and organized.
- Daily drop-off of Fed-Ex, UPS etc
- Communicate accurately with clients, Designated Employee Representative, and Medical Review Officers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Other key skills include: - A ability to create, follow, teach, and manage Standard Operating Procedures for VIP customer engagement online, in the lab, and over the phone.
- Leadership of future Front Desk Staff, Medical Assistants, Phlebotomists, and/or Lab Technicians.
- Effective collaboration with the lab’s director and clinical authority to continuously improve operational and clinical lab practices.
- Experience using or an ability to quickly learn lab software necessary for the lab’s operation — Microsoft office 365, scheduling systems, payment collection/confirmation system, digital signature tools, and collaboration tools such as SharePoint and ShareFile. - Familiarity with low complexity lab analyzers/devices.
- Experience using basic computer, iPad, print, scan and copy.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
