What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Labor (I,II,III) position at ARCTARIS SADDLEBACK SKI OPERATIONS LLC?
Basic Function and Overview: General Laborers are responsible for various manual tasks such as sanding, shoveling, digging trenches, unloading building materials, and preparing job sites. They use hand tools like shovels or picks while operating machinery to help them with their work and assist crews with other necessary tasks.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Remove snow and sand walkways and entrances of the base lodge area.
- Maintain the lodge and other facilities during both the winter and summer seasons, including painting, staining, sanding, etc.
- Maintain the outside property of the resort such as lawn care, erosion control, etc.
- Assist with new development and construction as needed.
- Help with additional projects around the resort as needed.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Basic carpentry, electrical, and technical skills.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Carpentry, electrical, mechanical, or technical experience is preferred.
- A Valid Driver’s License is required.
Physical Demands:
- Stand, sit, and walk; talk and hear; taste and smell; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to lift/move 50 pounds or more and occasionally lift/move more than 100 pounds.
- Ability to withstand and work in harsh outside weather conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; highly precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; explosives; and vibration.
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
