The Opportunity
As an Inside Sales Representative, you'll play a crucial role in our continued expansion. Arctic Compressor aggressively invests in tools and talent to support new sales growth. Our innovative products and bold market strategy have opened up significant opportunities in the municipal fire sector, industrial applications, and the Department of Defense market. Arctic products are high-value, long-term capital assets. Small sales start at $25,000-$30,000, with substantial potential for larger, city, state, and county contracts. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional sales support to both external customers (end users and authorized dealers of Arctic Compressor) and internal stakeholders (Dealer Channel Management, Sales Management, and Territory Managers).
- This position is an entry-level sales role and will be responsible for both reactive customer service and proactive prospecting. The Inside Sales Representative's primary duty is to support closing sales by advancing the sales process as directed by Sales Management on behalf of Territory Managers. The best candidates will be comfortable in cold calls and creating new business.
- Using well-developed sales techniques, communication, Optimism and presentation skills, duties will include but not be limited to:
- Target select geographies with aggressive prospecting practices including cold sales calls, networking, and referrals to enthusiastically support Arctics growth strategies.
- The first point of contact is to qualify leads generated by the Arctic Marketing team and call center.
- Collaborate with Territory Managers assigned to the deal to gather and communicate sales information to end users and dealer representatives.
- Coordinate and execute follow-up activities in the multi-stage sales process under the direction of Sales Management and Territory Managers.
- Follow-up contact on deals that have gone dormant with customer points of contact and dealer representatives to create momentum in the sales process.
- Build strong relationships within each sector or market by understanding and addressing specific customer concerns.
- Establish a trusted advisor relationship with customers and channel management professionals.
- Use our CRM tools to track your sales activities and share critical sales information with our internal teams. The CRM system enhances communication and helps you support closing deals more efficiently with the backing of our entire organization.
- Leverage the unique strengths of Arctic Compressors American-made products that are competitively priced, designed to be robust, reliable, and simple to use with short lead times and excellent customer service.
- Continuously build and demonstrate independent sales skills and planning, motivation, and high activity.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience, including cold calling, lead generation, and handling inbound sales inquiries is required.
- Experience in sales techniques and the ability to demonstrate each step of a consultative sales process.
- Some formal sales training is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to ask questions, solve problems, and listen to uncover customer needs so that each interaction and every proposal is tailored to the customer.
- Technical aptitude to learn products and customer application criteria.
- Very strong written communication skills to communicate in writing with customers and to record data in the CRM that is usable for other sales team members.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and modern office software.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with potential customers.
- Strong active listening skills to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions with speed and urgency when appropriate.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management software.
- Ability to manage multiple leads and opportunities efficiently.
- Proficient with office tools such as Google Workspace.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, track customer interactions & provide sales performance reports.
