What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineering Intern position at Arctic Fox, LLC?
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support various process improvement, data analysis, and reporting initiatives.
This internship provides hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, production data analysis, and efficiency tracking, offering valuable exposure to real-world manufacturing challenges. Specific Projects :
- Data Analysis & Reporting : Rework and simplify existing production reports (Efficiency, Backlog, OTD, Safety, Quality). Establish new reports for on-time delivery, shipment tracking, and efficiency metrics. Support inventory and cycle count tracking.
- Process Improvement & Manufacturing Support : Assist in optimizing production workflows and setting up manufacturing cells. Update labeling for barcode scanners and organize tooling / fixtures. Support floor marking coordination and plant layout planning.
- Cost & Efficiency Evaluations : Conduct cost analysis Investigate labor hour planning and scheduling improvements. Special Skills (Preferred but Not Required) :
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Data Analysis).
- Knowledge of Power BI and SAP (or other ERP systems) is a plus.
- Understanding of manufacturing operations and production data analysis.
- Hands-on experience with process improvement tools and methodologies. Qualifications :
- Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or Supply Chain Management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills. Pay Range : $19-$20 At PTI, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
