Job Description

Job Summary: The Contract Office Furniture Sales Representative is responsible for selling office furniture solutions to businesses, managing client relationships, and meeting sales targets. This role involves identifying customer needs, presenting suitable product solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Experience in B2B sales, preferably in the office furniture or interior design industry preferred, but willing to train!

Pay is based on experience. This is a base salary uncapped commission position.

1st year on target earnings with base commission is between $60,000 - $90,000

2nd year on target earnings with base commission is between $60,000 - $120,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the office furniture market.
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
    • Build and maintain relationships with architects, interior designers, and corporate clients.
  • Customer Needs Assessment:
    • Meet with clients to understand their office furniture needs and workspace requirements.
    • Provide expert advice on product options, layouts, and design solutions that align with client needs and budgets.
  • Product Presentation and Demonstration:
    • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the benefits and features of office furniture solutions.
    • Prepare and present detailed proposals and quotations tailored to the client's needs.
  • Sales Negotiation and Closing:
    • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
    • Close sales and ensure all contractual obligations are met.
    • Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery and installation.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any post-sale concerns.
    • Develop long-term relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Market and Product Knowledge:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and competitors.
    • Attend industry events, trade shows, and training sessions as needed.
  • Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status.
    • Provide regular reports on sales performance and market feedback to management.
Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Experience in B2B sales, preferably in the office furniture or interior design industry preferred, but willing to train!
  • Skills: Strong sales and negotiation skills, excellent communication, and a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with office furniture products, workspace planning, and design trends.
