What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Intelligence Analyst position at Arctic Slope Regional Corporation?
We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst with a strong focus on Power BI dashboard development. The ideal candidate will be experienced in developing Power BI dashboards, visualizing data, have an eye for design, and be able to create beautiful, easy to maintain, insightful dashboards.
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you'll work alongside other members of our Center of Excellence and directly partner with managers and stakeholders across a wide range of business lines and departments.
While your core duties will involve Power BI development, we seek someone flexible and eager to learn additional systems such as Alteryx, SmartSheet, and other parts of the Microsoft Power Platform. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by improving how we use data and automation to work smarter.
Candidates will be asked to provide relevant work samples and examples of Power BI dashboards that they have created.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned)
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document project requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Design and develop visually appealing and effective Power BI dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
- Conduct thorough process documentation to capture current workflows and identify areas for improvement.
- Perform data modeling, including creating and managing data relationships and hierarchies.
- Write SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for reporting purposes.
- Utilize Power Query M and DAX to transform, clean, and create KPIs or other calculations.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular data validation and quality checks.
- Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices to continuously improve dashboard performance and usability.
- Eagerness to learn and support related systems which may include, Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Alteryx, or Smart Sheet.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
