ASRC Construction, an Alaska-based contractor, seeks an experienced construction Project Manager with a history of managing projects for government and commercial clients. The Project Manager oversees the day-to-day management of government and commercial construction projects and assists the team with employee development and cost estimating.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote shareholder hire on all projects.
- Oversee the construction project from start to finish.
- Chart out project objectives, set performance requirements, select project participants, and assign individual responsibilities.
- Optimize utilization of project resources, including labor, material, and equipment.
- Review all project documents, including contracts, drawings, and specifications, to ensure all requirements are met and risks are addressed.
- Develop, manage, and enforce project-specific safety requirements.
- Manage and enforce quality control procedures.
- Develop project budgets and schedules, analyze project cash flows and resource requirements.
- Maintain project schedules and revise as appropriate to meet changing requirements.
- Ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.
- Analyze project risk and resolve or escalate issues promptly.
- Visit project sites as needed to inspect and provide support.
- Review deliverables prepared by the project team as needed before submission to client.
- Ensure project documentation is complete, current, and filed appropriately.
- Manage project budget and prepare monthly project cost projections and other financial reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, monitor receivables, and follow up with clients as needed.
- Review employee timesheets, subcontractor pay requests, and vendor invoices for accuracy.
- Track project closeout requirements and ensure timely submission of closeout documents.
- Effectively facilitate internal, subcontractor, and client meetings and communicate relevant project issues.
- Engage with project stakeholders and direct project communications to appropriate parties.
- Provide leadership to junior project team members and promote employee development.
- Provide regular reporting of relevant project information to the General Manager.
- Ensure all required permits, licenses, insurance, and clearances are in place for the project.
- Ensure all required legal postings, SDS, wage statements, etc. are posted at the project site.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Years of applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

The physical demands of the job require regular talking and hearing, frequent sitting, reaching, and using hands. Occasionally, the employee must stand, walk, climb, balance, and lift up to ten (10) pounds. Specific vision abilities include adjusting focus.
