Job Description
The Heavy-Duty Mechanic will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty vehicles and non-mobile equipment. This includes rough-terrain cranes, vac-trucks, fuel-trucks, vac-trailers, tractor-trailers, lowboy-trailers, winch tractors, super-suckers, scissor-lifts, telescopic boom lifts, telehandlers, skid-steers, front-end loaders, dozers, excavators, forklifts, motor graders, and more.
Responsibilities
- Inspect heavy-duty vehicles and equipment to diagnose malfunctions and mechanical issues.
- Repair and maintain heavy-duty vehicles and non-mobile equipment.
- Perform system repairs and replacements, including engines, transmissions, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, centrifugal pumps, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and steering.
- Conduct routine maintenance, including lube, oil, and filter changes in accordance with maintenance schedules.
