**About HSE Specialist Role**
The HSE Specialist is a functional expert providing safety leadership to ensure adherence to OSHA, DOT, and client requirements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide safety leadership to management and employees on OSHA standards and compliance strategies, DOT Compliance Requirements, and Client's policies and standards.
- Perform tasks in various environmental, health, and safety disciplines to achieve compliance with the organization's EH&S standards and federal/state regulatory requirements.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining programs, systems, and procedures to ensure employee and community safety.
- Monitor and prevent chemical, physical, and biological hazards and diseases in the work area.
- Investigate accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards or uncomfortable conditions in the workplace.
**HSE Excellence through Training and Auditing**: Ensure HSE excellence by training others, auditing management and safety systems, conducting rig inspections, gathering leading/trailing indicators, and participating in incident investigations/reporting processes.
**Functional Expertise**: Be a subject matter expert in most health, safety, and environmental disciplines. Provide guidance, regulatory interpretation, and assist with procedure development for various HSE issues.
**Required Experience**: 5-7 years of related work experience with a strong understanding of discipline.
