Job Description:

Drilling Materials Coordinator

This advanced-level position ensures materials are purchased, received, processed, and distributed to meet project material requirements. The role may supervise personnel, coordinate logistics, and/or implement purchasing and documentation processes to meet project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procure drilling materials from approved suppliers.
  2. Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of drilling materials.
  3. Work closely with the materials and drilling teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of drilling materials.
  4. Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, vendors, and stakeholders.
  5. Ensure compliance with Company and Customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
  6. Provide excellent customer service to Rig(s) on site and internal stakeholders.
  7. Support 3rd party contractors as needed to ensure proper materials are identified and available.
  8. Collaborate with client-based leadership, planners, and engineers to identify materials, quantities, and coordinates all drilling-related materials during the annual re-supply activities.
  9. Perform daily activities in alignment with warehousemen, expediters, support crews, and truck drivers related to drilling materials ordering, shipping, receiving, staging, and delivery.
  10. Communicate effectively with suppliers to expedite materials and resolve delays.
  11. May determine material take-offs and substitutions based on project specifications and drawings.
  12. Review and monitor purchase orders, receipts, invoices, and payments.
  13. Maintain proper documentation.
  14. Ensure materials are stored according to Company and Customer requirements.
  15. Maintain a safe and clean worksite.
  16. Be knowledgeable of the contents of the ASH handbook, company policies, and pertinent standard operating procedures.
  17. Comply with Company and Customer policies and procedures.
  18. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and other team members.
  19. Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  20. Write routine reports and correspondence as required.
  21. Speak effectively before groups of employees or customers.
  22. Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  23. Supervise all assigned employees within the department.
  24. Makes decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure.
  25. Trusts people to perform through clear delegation of both routine and important tasks and decisions.
  26. Deals comfortably with senior managers without undue tension or nervousness.
  27. Provides timely information that people need to know in order to do their jobs and make accurate decisions.
  28. Other duties will be assigned to this position as needs require.
  29. Supports AES zero-incident safety culture and assumes personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
