As an Operational Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the safe operation of the refinery, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operating policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor process lineups and perform tank gauging and data logging
- Adjust unit controls to ensure safe and efficient operating conditions
- Observe instruments, gauges, and meters to verify conformance to specified quality and quantity of product
- Ensure product quality by sampling and testing distillate products
- Operate auxiliary equipment and control multiple processing units during distilling or treating operations
- Repair, lubricate, and maintain equipment, or report malfunctioning equipment to the Lead Operator
Requirements:
- Three (3) or more years of experience in petroleum refining
- Demonstrate ability to be a problem solver and grasp complex issues
- Able to work closely within a group and with other departments to set priorities, coordinate, and follow up on operational objectives
- Ability to multi-task with changing priorities and assignments
- Instrumentation - Preventive maintenance/trouble shooting experience
