Job Summary
The Wells Support Technician performs manual and semi-skilled labor tasks for construction and shop operations. This role provides assistance to journey-level workers and supports various tasks and projects while gaining experience and skills in a professional environment.
Essential Duties
- Assists in inventory of shop materials.
- Lifts, carries, and handles construction supplies and materials.
- Assists journeyman-level workers as needed.
- Reviews blueprints, schematic drawings, and job specifications to determine work requirements.
- Dismantles, straightens, reshapes, and reassembles parts using cutting torches, straightening presses, hand tools, and plasma torches.
- Grinds and sands metal parts before and after welding to smooth out rough surfaces.
- Operates welding equipment as needed.
- Cleans and maintains equipment, tools, and the general work area.
- Complies with Company and customer policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year of related work experience.
- Driver's License required.
Certifications
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous welding work experience or education preferred.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.

Working on the North Slope
Lodging and food will be provided while working on the North Slope of Alaska. Camps offer warm meals, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, and more.
