Arctic Snow and Ice is looking to hire a Manufacturing Process and Tooling Engineer to grow their engineering dept. The ideal candidate will possess experience with, but not limited to shop floor machine programming, quality control, and fixturing.
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes and equipment for the production of goods. They will work closely with other departments such as R&D, quality control, and production to ensure that products are manufactured efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities :
- Identifying deficiencies in production processes and develop improvements
- Designing manufacturing tooling and fixturing
- Developing, initiating and managing all phases of projects
- Preparing documentation of critical analysis and providing suggestions for correcting errors
- Collaborating with Project Managers for proper allocation and tracking of resources
- Design and develop manufacturing processes and equipment and work to create Plasma, laser, and brake press programs.
- Implement new manufacturing processes and equipment including the organization of parts and product manuals.
- Monitor and improve the efficiency and productivity of existing processes
- Create and maintain process documentation
- Collaborate with outside operations and quality control teams to ensure products meet specifications.
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology
- Conduct time and motion studies to optimize processes
- Provide training and support to production and maintenance teams
- Work with welding robot programmers
- Monitor manufacturing cycle times and assist in setting quotas
- Quality control on in and outbound products
