REQUIREMENT
The customer wishes to establish an enduring capability to integrate digital engineering and model-based systems engineering principles into its Science & Technology (S&T) programs. This capability addresses evolving Air Force needs to create, share, import, and export curated data and models associated with all facets of the weapons systems life cycle. These needs encompass the range of data and model needs projected for validated modeling, simulation, and analysis, ground testing, and flight testing to enable rapid product development, transition, and establish authoritative sources of truth for system-of-system portfolios. The ARCTOS employee will provide MBSE-specific technical expertise to the government leader in this area through attendance of design reviews, interaction with domain experts across a wide variety of turbine engine-related disciplines, and creating digital engineering artifacts related to both technology programs and in-house research facilities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, evaluate, and compare baseline andextended alternative architectures using qualitative and quantitative techniques; apply appropriate data analytics tools
- Articulate major uncertainties associated with system architectures, define risks and opportunities associated with the uncertainties.
- Support legacy and digital requirements management, interface management, and architecture change management processes
- Support data and model generation, design, and implementation of digital curation methodologies, and developing value-propositions for digital engineering artifacts from alternative architectures
- Translate analysis results into actionable recommendations
- Work within a larger systems engineering and software effort to ensure that developed methodologies or work flows will integrate into overall architecture and support deployment approval requirements.
- Participate in a digital engineering ecosystem that conducts peer reviews of aerospace system data / models to establish an authoritative source of truth
