What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Pharmacology Intern position at Arcus Biosciences?

Summary:
As an Intern, you will be working under the supervision of experienced clinical pharmacologists to learn and apply principles of clinical pharmacology in the drug development process for small molecule and biotherapeutics. You will be responsible for conducting literature searches, reviewing summary basis of approvals and US FDA guidance documents, dataset preparation, data analysis, development and streamlining of internal processes and/or analytical methodologies, documenting work instructions and/or SOPs, and presenting results at the department meetings and/or to project teams. Project assignments will be tailored based on candidate skills and interests. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain direct experience working in an industry setting. This position will initially report to an Associate Director, Clinical Pharmacology.
Requirements:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited PharmD (completed at least 3rd year) or MS/PhD program in US in a relevant field (e.g. pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, bioengineering, or a related field).
- The candidate must be residing in US at the time of internship
- Ability to conduct literature search and summarize findings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic principles, methods, and analysis software (R/S-Plus, Phoenix WinNonlin, NONMEM) is a plus.
Working Conditions: This is a full-time internship position, typically lasting 10 weeks. The work will primarily be conducted in an office setting. The intern will be required to adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, confidentiality, and data protection.

2025.
• As an Arcus intern, you will be employed as a temporary hourly employee.
• Intern will be paid hourly less payroll deductions and all required tax withholdings.
