Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chemical Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring chemical processes, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of chemical handling and manufacturing processes, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) throughout all operations.
- Perform materials handling tasks, including the movement and storage of raw materials and finished products.
- Fabricate and assemble components as needed for production processes.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch logs and quality control data.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Assist in laboratory testing to verify product quality and adherence to specifications.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
- Familiarity with CGMP, lean manufacturing practices, and materials handling techniques.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Previous experience in machining or fabrication is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including potential overtime as needed.
