Role description:
The Capital Delivery and PMO Director is responsible for strategic oversight and operational leadership for capital projects, and facilities engineering across all Ardagh Glass Packaging – North America (AGP-NA) locations. This role integrates capital planning, project management, and facilities engineering to ensure operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Lead and maintain all aspects of the capital project portfolio, including resource planning, capital forecasting, financial inputs, and project prioritization.
Develop processes to assess and prioritize capital investments based on risk assessments, business continuity, and cost/benefit analysis.
Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost and schedule controls for timely project completion within budget.
Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders, providing comprehensive project briefings and updates.
Guide the capital management process from project inception to closure, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Oversee all aspects of facilities engineering, including grounds, utilities, and infrastructure across AGP-NA plants.
Lead a team of engineers to support furnace rebuilds, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering needs.
Build and lead high-performing teams capable of scaling with business needs in a fast-moving environment.
Develop and implement best practices, policies, and procedures for engineering and project management functions.
Model continuous improvement behaviors, addressing quality, reliability, and cost issues across operations.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and lessons learned to improve future projects and initiatives.
Implement innovative engineering solutions to address reliability issues and improve plant operations.
Guide efforts to enhance the reliability and maintainability of equipment, utilities, facilities, and safety systems.
Minimum skills / qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
15 years of experience in engineering andproject management of capital projects.
Extensive knowledge of project planning tools (e.g., MS Project)and technical problem-solving.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to travel up to 50%.
Preferred skills / qualifications:
Master’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field
Experience in glass manufacturing
