SUMMARY :
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to assist with opening files, managing title, tax, and municipal lien searches, and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders. You will evaluate title searches, create and deliver title commitments, and update documents as needed. Providing excellent customer service, you will interact with customers, real estate agents, and attorneys, and work with the Disbursement team to handle closing proceeds. Monitoring workflow queues and collaborating with internal teams and partners is essential. Meeting performance metrics and performing other assigned duties are expected.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in opening files, placing and following up on title, tax, and municipal lien searches. Communicates ETAs to all
stakeholders as needed.
Evaluates title searches and reports to ensure all requirements and exceptions are accounted for and works withSenior Deal Manager to create and deliver title commitments and pro formas.
Monitors email queue for title comments and works with UW counsel and Senior Deal Manager to updatecommitments and pro formas and / or provide responses to the client or supervisor based on published underwriting
standards, bulletins and guidelines.
Ensures all document types categories are current and correct for all documents in all files within the system ofrecord.
Provides quality customer service, including interacting with customers, real estate agents and attorneys.Works with Disbursement team to disburse closing proceeds in accordance with parties’ instructions and applicablelaw.
Monitors workflow queues and department reports to ensure milestones and ETAs are met as well as insuringprompt disbursements and follow ups for post-closing accounting issues.
Works collaboratively with all stakeholders including but not limited to internal operations teams, client, outsidecounsel, and title agent partners.
Successfully meets or exceeds all Company established performance / production metrics as set forth by the SeniorManagement Team.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required; Baccalaureate degree preferred.3 years’ experience in title (commercial experience preferred but not required, some closing experience is aplus).
Works under general supervision.Strong customer service skills required.National experience preferred with both Purchase and Refinance transactions.Experience utilizing ResWare or similar software preferred.PREFERRED SKILLS
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely present issues, ideas and recommendationsin verbal, written and presentation formats.
Highly motivated, inquisitive, self-starter with the ability to multi-task and effectively manage priorities to meetdeadlines in a fast-paced environment.
