We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Paralegal to join our team and support the Department of Justice (DOJ), U.S. Attorney's Office (USAO) Opioids Unit within the USAO. ? This is an exciting opportunity to work on meaningful cases and contribute to the fight against opioid-related crimes. ?
Job Description : The Paralegal will be responsible for directly and independently supporting pending investigations and cases within the Opioids Unit. ? The role involves a wide variety of administrative and case-support functions, including document management, data analysis, and case file organization. ? The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. ?
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and review documents and data sets. ?
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents such as indictments, complaints, affidavits, and motions. ?
- Conduct legal research and summarize relevant legal precedents. ?
- Organize case files and prepare exhibits for court presentations. ?
- Monitor the progress of pending cases and ensure timely submission of legal documents. ?
- Compile and index discovery and evidence exhibits for trial. ?
- Provide automated litigation assistance using various software applications. ?
