Overview
To support USMCA labor and trade enforcement efforts.
Background
The United States, Mexico, and Canada updated NAFTA to create the new USMCA. USMCA is mutually beneficial for North American workers, farmers, ranchers, and businesses.
Responsibilities
Legal Analysts will support USMCA labor and trade enforcement efforts. Subject matter and tasking may change frequently, including multiple times per day. Task may include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct electronic and manual research for identified subject matter.
- Draft memoranda summarizing and/or analyzing research results.
- Review documents for identified subject matter.
- Occasional translation of research results into English and Spanish
- Scan and file images of documents as appropriate.
- Assist in creation and updating of tracking logs.
- Review, summarization, and preparation of documents.
- Assist in preparation of documentation or interviews for potential litigations.
Qualifications
- Fluent enough in English and Spanish to perform all tasks.
- 3 years’ experience in a business, legal, labor, or relevant environment.
- Exposure to labor issues (desired, not required).
- Legal research/analysis background (desired, not required).
- Able to pass the required EOP background investigation.
