General Purpose:
The Content Marketing Intern is a creative thinker that helps grow our brand and engage our audience of teens and young adults. In this paid role, the intern brainstorms and produces fun, engaging and educational content for our social media platforms and website. The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling, digital trends and making complex topics easy to understand.
Essential Functions:
- Develop creative content ideas that resonate with a young audience.
- Create and edit short-form videos (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.).
- Assist with social media management, including scheduling posts and engaging with followers.
- Write engaging captions and blog content that simplify complex topics.
- Design graphics for posts, stories, and promotional materials.
- Research and stay up to date on digital trends, pop culture and viral content.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure a consistent brand voice.
- Analyze content performance and suggest ways to improve engagement.
- Assist with the execution of activations as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned (Pitching in to help the team).
Qualifications
Job requirements (Knowledge/Abilities):
- Experience with video creation and editing (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar).
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (Canva, Photoshop, or similar).
- Ability to think creatively and explain complex ideas.
- Active on social media and knowledgeable about Gen Z trends.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Quick learner with a curious mind.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and work ethic.
- Strong organizational skills to deliver quality work on-time.
- Must play well with others, as well as be able to work independently.
- No shrinking violets – must be ready to share ideas, participate in conversations and receive/provide feedback.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience with social media analytics tools and content strategy is a plus.
Job requirements (Education/Experience):
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Digital Media or a related field.
