Salary Range:    $23.38 - $35.08 Hourly

Description

General Purpose:

Demonstrating a strong desire to help and acting as a liaison between Ardent members and the Credit Union’s lending department, this role will engage members to answer general and specific loan application questions, interview and take applications for loans, communicate loan decisions, and cross-sell additional loan products and services.

This is a hybrid role.

This role does have sales responsibilities and up to 15% of the base salary is sales bases incentives.

Some Saturday and evening hours may be required to fulfill the job requirements.

Essential Functions:

1. Foster a positive work environment by actively listening to and responding to member and co-worker needs with a courteous and helpful attitude.

2. Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound loan-related calls effectively and simultaneously manage pipeline of loan applications.

3. Assist members with submitting loan applications, communicates the loan decision, and advises members of the remaining steps and requirements to complete the loan application.

4. Acquire necessary information to finalize approved and counteroffered loan application and clears underwriting stipulations.

5. Responsible for pro-active soliciting and/or developing and maintaining profitable member account relationships. Acts as "relationship manager" to existing members cross selling the full range of Ardent’s loan products and services.

6. Analyze potential lending opportunities involved in each member interaction to further assist the borrower as well as increase the credit union’s lending portfolio.

7. Manage outbound call campaigns targeting members under a variety of scenarios, such as: recapturing cancelled loan applications, soliciting refinancing of loans held at another lender, etc.

8. Consistently achieves goals assigned for referrals, loans, and cross-sells.

9. Act as a liaison between the lending department and branch and business development staff regarding loan applications.

10. Monitor and respond to lending related inquiries through a variety of channels including phone, chat, email, etc.

Other Duties:

1. Stay knowledgeable of loan products and advises member of required documentation by loan type.

2. Recognize and report suspicious activity to department manager.

3. Provide excellent service to other credit union employees in support of their activities and within agreed service level agreements.

4. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications


Job Requirements (Knowledge/Abilities):

1. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate technical information in a clear and concise manner.

2. Ability to sell the benefits of the credit union’s loan products in a variety of situations.

3. Strong multi-tasking skills with excellent mindfulness and accuracy.

4. Strong knowledge retention and recall abilities to provide quick and accurate information to callers.

5. Ability to handle pressure and remain calm in challenging situations with frustrated callers.

6. Fast and efficient workstyle to accommodate high volume of calls while maintaining high quality of member support.

7. Empathetic and friendly approach to gain members’ trust and establish positive rapport.

8. Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.

9. Knowledge of consumer loan products, services, and processing functions is a plus.

10. Experience with reviewing and interpreting a consumer credit report is a plus.

Job Requirements (Education/Experience):

1. High School diploma or equivalent.

2. At least three years of experience working in a lending/customer services/sales capacity in a financial institution.

3. Satisfactory NMLS registration ID.
