Your Role as a Certified Medical Assistant
You will work under the close supervision of registered nurses to perform various tasks that are essential to providing high-quality patient care. Your nursing knowledge and skills will be utilized in the implementation of basic preventative therapeutic and rehabilitative nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Perform delegated independent nursing functions using established procedures, policies, guidelines, and standards as observed by the registered nurse.
- Administer medication accurately, observing patient response.
- Maintain and coordinate communication among patient/significant other, staff, and physician.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Texas licensure as a Certified Medical Assistant.
- BLS certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Healthcare experience and clinic experience are highly desirable for this position.
