Portneuf Medical Center is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma and tertiary care center and home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group and Portneuf Air Rescue.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Medical Director / Vascular Surgeon, and direction of the department manager (Clinical Coordinator), you are delegated the autonomous authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
Accountable to perform safe, timely and accurate ultrasound studies to include but are not limited to Abdominal Aortic, Carotid Extracranial, Hemodialysis Access, Saphenous Vein Mapping, Arm Mapping (Venous / Arterial), Renal Artery, and arterial ultrasound of both the upper and lower extremities.
All phases of diagnostic medical sonography to provide high quality exams for diagnostic, therapeutic and operative purposes.
In addition the studies performed must meet the expectations and requirements to maintain the current accreditations of both the vascular laboratory and the vein center itself.
Qualifications
Job Requirements :
Hold or obtain current licensure as an RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalent within 12 months of hire and maintain as current.
Current Basic Life Support certification.
Competent in scanning non-invasive vascular ultrasound studies.
Be able to demonstrate specific normal anatomy and abnormal pathology.
