Security Patrol Officer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive individual with strong observational skills and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Guard will be responsible for monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site.

• Minimum age of 21
• Valid California Driver’s License (CADL) with a clean driving record
• Current and active Guard Card
• Ability to perform foot and vehicle patrols

**Work Schedule (Subject to Change):**

Shifts Available : Monday to Sunday: 10 PM - 6 AM

**Job Type:** Full-time

**Pay Rate:** $19.00 per hour

**Expected Weekly Hours:** 32-40

**Essential Requirements:**

• At least one year of experience as a Security Guard
• Valid Driver’s License

**Role Overview: Security Vehicle Patrol Officer**

The Security Vehicle Patrol Officer is tasked with delivering essential security services at designated sites. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting vehicle patrols of exterior premises
• Performing foot patrols of both interior and exterior areas
• Monitoring and reporting suspicious activities or individuals
• Drafting detailed reports and maintaining daily activity logs (DARs)
• Adhering to rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Responding effectively to emergencies
• Exercising initiative and independent judgment within set guidelines
• Utilizing advanced wireless technology for real-time checkpoints, reports, forms, and location tracking specific to client sites

**Position Criteria:**

Candidates for the Security Patrol Driver role should meet the following standards:

• Must be at least 21 years old with no points on DMV record for the past five years
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must possess or have applied for a valid Guard License before employment begins

As a condition for ongoing employment, individuals must maintain an active BSIS Guard License status and carry it while on duty.

**Additional Skills Required:**

• Exceptional customer service and communication abilities
• Proficient computer skills for utilizing modern wireless technology at client sites
• Capability to climb stairs or ramps occasionally during shifts
• Ability to bend/twist at waist/knees/neck as required
• Occasional lifting or carrying of up to 40 pounds
• Frequent use of hands and arms for tasks such as writing reports and handling phones/notepads
• Constant visual acuity (correctable vision to normal level required) for observation, reading, and monitoring security feeds; includes hand-eye coordination
• Proficient in reading, understanding, and speaking English; effective verbal communication (correctable hearing to normal level required) with the public and colleagues

Candidates must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, allowing them to interact professionally with personnel at all levels and the general public.

Ability to produce neat, legible written reports and logs is essential. Candidates must comprehend operating procedures and instructions. Flexibility to work in various environments, including outdoor conditions such as cold, rain, or heat is necessary. A high degree of mental alertness and attention to detail is required for prioritizing tasks and following through on assignments.

Candidates who can effectively manage pressure from high public interaction will be prioritized for interviews.
