Ardent - a James Beard-Award nominated, fine dining restaurant in Milwaukee's lower east side - is looking for a passionate individual who is willing to adapt to a unique type of service. At least one year restaurant experience is required, and we are willing to work with someone with less experience who is passionate about hospitality, food, beverages and progressive culinary pursuits. Bartending experience is a major plus.
About the position - you would be starting as a server. We serve a 12-course tasting menu at Ardent, often accompanied by beverage pairings. The service requires attention to detail, precision, and teamwork. We like to promote from within, and this position offers opportunities for growth for the right individual. Hours would be Friday and Saturday, 4pm-10pm (on Fridays) and about 4pm-12pm (on Saturdays) , with slight flexibility and the possibility of adding shifts in the near future.
Health insurance assistance is available for full-time employees, if the position should evolve into a full-time position. Base pay is $11/hr, plus tips, which ends up being $25-$35 per hour, with higher earning potential for private events.
